FAA Short-Term Study Abroad Programs open to students across campus

Students from all colleges are invited to apply and participate in:

Urban Design & Sustainability in London over spring break

UP 494/FAA 491 – 2 credit hours

Spend spring break abroad and experience urban design by walking the streets of London, learning about sustainability initiatives across the city, and delving into urban issues with local experts and UIUC instructor and advisor, Ben LeRoy.

Study Sustainable Fashion in Japan in May

ARTS 399 – 3 credit hours

May 19 to June 1, 2025 in Tokyo and Kyoto

Engage in the aesthetic principles specific to Japanese culture and fashion through traditional weaving and dying activities, sustainable manufacturing practices, and an exploration into traditional and experimental forms of Japanese fashion. Students will culminate the program with a sense for how to innovate new sustainability practices for use in the fashion industry.
